Child rapist killed by police

Officials Identify Child Rape Suspect Killed By Deputies:
This isn't a typical News of Doom story but as the reader who sent it to me said "score one for the good guys".

It doesn't sound like a case of mistaken identity or anything like that either. This guy pulled a gun on police. What did he expect would happen next?
