The correction of Doom
As I'm sure you all know by now today's earlier News of Doom about the baby tossing incident turned out to be a hoax. It turns out that the woman who found the baby was actually the baby's mother. Florida has a law on the books where a parent can turn a newborn up to 3 days old over to authorities with no questions asked. It's unclear why the mother made up the story. One of the sheriffs is quoted as saying "The only charge I can think of charging against [Pokriots] would be making a false police report," Anyway while this story is disturbing it now does not fit the criteria as a "News of Doom" story.
