COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The parents of a three-day-old girl who died early Sunday have been charged with her murder.
Police in Columbus, Ga., arrested Albert Debelbot, 24, and his 23-year-old wife, Ashley, on Monday afternoon. The couple were taken into custody after doctors determined the baby died from blunt-force injuries.
Authorities said McKenzy Debelbot was born Thursday.
I still don't understand why a couple would go through 9 months of carrying a child only to allegedly violently kill the baby within a week of it's birth.
One point for each for the murder which is two, another point for the beating, and one last point for killing a baby that was less than a week old. That's four.
