Man Accused Of Killing Neighbor For Slamming Doors:
Reason to Blow Up the World:...
A man in Marion County, Fla., was arrested and charged Wednesday with killing a 51-year-old woman for slamming doors in her apartment and waking him up, according to a police report.
The report said Vito Loiacono was involved in a fight with Betty Shepperd and another man over "slamming doors in her apartment and waking Mr. Loiacono up at night."
When officers arrived at about 5 p.m., the disturbance had ended and Loiacono was sitting on a porch with other neighbors in the complex.
About three hours later, officers responded to another disturbance call at the same address.
When officers arrived they found Betty Shepperd dead in an apartment.
Witnesses told police that they saw Loiacono leaving his apartment carrying a white trash bag. He allegedly tried to give the bag containing his clothes to several people to hide, according to the report.
When tenants refused to take the bag, Loiacono was allegedly seen taking the bag behind the apartment complex and throwing it in a trash bin.
The bag was found a short time later by officers. It contained clothes Loiacono was wearing earlier in the night and a weapon.
This guy needs to have his package slammed in a car door repeatedly.

To the one which wrote he could relate to this man killing an innocent person: You seem to have the same mental problem...perhaps you should be removed from society...IF I knew where you lived I would warn those near you of your posting.
I am guilty perhaps of being too light-hearted in a sense with some of my comments. Please rest assured that NONE of my comments were meant to trivialize this death. It is HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, and SENSELESS. I do get angry when folks like "Ed" trivialize these things as he so so often does, and I guess that I could be interpretted as being insensitve when the fact of the matter, I am not. The comments I make are not meant to trivialize this incident. The comments I make are meant to trivialize the assinine point of view that Ed insists on taking. I really don't know if the comments posted above where directed at myself, or at Ed, or both.
I apologize regardless.
I guess this will serve as a reminder to myself that no matter what I feel when reading something of this nature, that these are REAL people. I don't think I ever really forgot that or I wouldn't get so damn mad at people...like ED. You should realize that this is bascially a forums. People ARE going to post things that will upset you. Whether it is Ed, making assinine statements and trivializing incidents such as these, or myself, who takes statements that people such as Ed makes, and takes him to task for them either in a serious or humorous way. A site such as this nor any other site IS NOT the place for you to seek comfort and solace. You will find sympathetic people here. Lot's of them. You will also find unsympathetic people here...such as Ed. The people that engage in these discussions for the most part are NOT connected to the victims or the instigators of these crimes. Therefore the emotional investment that we have have is NOT the same as the emotional investment that you have. That's just the reality of it. If it offends you, I am sorry but that really is the cold hard reality. I'm certain that there will continue to be discussions on this site concerning dispicable acts. I'm also certain that at times, there will be insensitive comments and there will be humorous comments relating to horrific acts. Innapropriate? It's all in the eye of the beholder I guess. I myself use humor to deal with things that disgust me. That's just me. If it offends you....I apologize. Again I remind you, as sorry as I am for your loss THIS IS NOT (nor is any other site like this) the place for you to come looking for comfort or solace. Personally, if this was my sister, brother, daughter, wife, etc., the last thing I would be doing is surfing the web looking for discussions on the matter...it's just asking for trouble. This is all JUST my opinion and nothing more.

It takes a very strong and caring person to do what you just did...as with you..my anger was steered to the one who made the heartless statement. I can't even imagine what this family is going through...I know I get weak in the knees and fearful when I think this man was several doors down from my mother and my ex-brother-in-law. I have seen him and spoken to him several times visiting my mother. Noone ever had a good feeling concerning him...I hope this will be taken into consideration from this time on when they are assigning rentals. Complaints should be investigated and not thrown aside for gossip!

This is betty's aunt ann... from florida, she was my best friend, daughter, sister, and everything near and dear to my heart... I don't know how someone can just do that to a person for slamming doors...I know that Betty would never do something just to aggervate people... that man was bi-polar but even though he was I think that bastard should be put somewhere to suffer and go through what betty went through but a million times worse! I miss her so much and I just wish that she could be here so I can hold her and hear her voice again... She came over to my house about a week or so before she died... when I took her to get her nails done she was so grateful... she had the biggest smile on her face for something so little... she apprieciated anything and everything that people gave her... I also went to Cypress Gardens with her... my grand-daughter Alicia had so much fun with her because betty was the only one that would ride the rollercoasters with her... You have no idea what our family is feeling right now but it hurts too much to think about... "Ed"... There has to be something wrong with you... if someone was slamming a door that lived right next to you but not on purpose... would you stab them twice... beat them and then drown them in the bathtub? if you would your a sick and nasty person...but enough of "Ed" because all he wants is attention... I love Betty and I know that she is in heaven probally being the best of friends with god... Our family will miss her so much and we are praying for the rest who are suffering... Betty deserved so much more and now she has to go like this?
