Are two lives worth $2?
Texas
Murder Suspects Describe Two Killings in $2 Robbery:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Lazy ass punks. God forbid you could have gotten a real job instead of stealing and killing. Now two good people are dead because you're two fucking lazy bastards who have to sponge off the success of others.
One point for each murder (2), another point for being leeches on society, another point for taking no responsibility for your actions, one more point for no remorse, and one last point for killing over $2. That's six.
Nod of Doom to Mike.
Murder Suspects Describe Two Killings in $2 Robbery:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
The men arrested in the slayings of an aspiring Christian singer and his colleague at a Texas recording studio said in a chilling jailhouse interview the victims were killed at random in a robbery that netted only $2.
Cousins James Broadnax and Demarius Dwight Cummings, both 19, face capital murder charges in the deaths of singer Matthew Butler, a father of two, and Stephen Swan, his employee, outside Butler's Christian recording studio, Zion Gate Records in Garland, Texas.
Broadnax and Cummings, speaking to MyFOXDFW.com from the Dallas County Jail, told the station of their plans to rob somebody the night of June 18. They traveled by train from Dallas to the suburb of Garland because "that's where all the rich white folks stay at," Broadnax said.
Their targets turned out to be Butler, 28, and Swan, 26.
After the men were shot, Cummings said he took car keys and a wallet from Swan, but the wallet contained only $2.
Cummings, who insisted "I didn't kill anyone," appeared to have some remorse when asked about the crime.
"I feel real bad, you know," he told MyFOXDFW.com. "I feel it was wrong what we did."
But Broadnax, who described his life as "hell," showed little remorse.
"I kind of regret what I did, but things can't change so no use crying over it," Broadnax said.
When asked about what he would say to the victims' families, Broadnax replied, "f--- 'em."

Kentucky plant shooting

Ky. gunman argued with boss over phone, goggles:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Seriously? Over goggles and a cell phone? We don't have too many guns in this country. We have too many crazy people with guns.
One point for each murder (5), one for taking the coward's way out, another point for killing people over something so petty, and one last point for the girlfriend who didn't warn anyone. That's eight.

Ky. gunman argued with boss over phone, goggles:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
HENDERSON, Ky. - A 25-year-old press operator shot and killed five co-workers and himself at a plastics plant in rural western Kentucky just hours after arguing with his supervisor about not wearing safety goggles and using his cell phone while on the assembly line, police said Wednesday.
Authorities said Wesley N. Higdon of Henderson was so riled by the argument with his supervisor that he called his girlfriend and told her that he wanted to kill his boss. The girlfriend didn't warn anyone, police said, and just two hours later, Higdon argued with another co-worker then shot and killed his supervisor as they walked outside. Then, he returned and shot at co-workers in a break room and on the plant floor.
Authorities said Higdon was known to keep a .45-caliber pistol in his car, which is not illegal in Kentucky.
The first shooting took place as the supervisor was escorting him from the building. Other co-workers were shot in the break room and on the plant floor. One worker was injured and was being treated in the critical care unit at St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center in Evansville, Ind.

Passerbys watch man beaten to death

Cars Slow to Watch as Teens Beat Homeless Man to Death:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
So we had the California baby stomping, the Conn. hit and run, and now this where people chose to do nothing. Yep. It's officially a trend of where we only care about ourselves as a society. Kitty Genovese is rolling in her grave.
One point for each little bastard taking place in the beating (3), another point for Waters' death, one more point for killing a man over his music player which may have been his only possession, and one last point for all the rubberneckers who did nothing. That's 6.
Cars Slow to Watch as Teens Beat Homeless Man to Death:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
CLEVELAND - A group of teenagers beat a homeless man to death as passers-by slowed to watch the attack, some of which was caught on videotape, police said.
Anthony Waters, 42, suffered a lacerated spleen and broken ribs during the attack Wednesday night and died at a hospital, police said.
Portions of the attack were caught on a surveillance camera outside a towing company on the city's east side. Police said the videotape shows passing cars slowing to watch three teens attack Waters until he staggered into the parking lot, where he was assisted by employees of the towing company.
Waters suffered from blunt abdominal trauma, a head injury and damaged internal organs, the Cuyahoga County coroner said.
The attackers, who appeared to be between the ages of 14 to 17, robbed Waters of a music player and headphones, police said. No arrests have been made.

Prosecutor: Father Used Cleaning Supplies To Cover Up Crime:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Straight to the scoring on this one.
One point for each murder (2), one point for trying to cover up the crime with cleaning supplies, another point for burning their bodies, one more point for already being in hot water with the law on drug charges, and one last point for your idiotic story about how someone else killed your kids because of a 'debt'. That's six.
Prosecutor: Father Used Cleaning Supplies To Cover Up Crime:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Prosecutors said Randy Sylvester, 27, was the last person to see his 7-year-old son Randy Jr. and his 3-year-old daughter, Denim, alive on Father's Day. He has been charged with two counts of capital murder.
The district attorney's office said Sylvester used cleaning supplies to cover up the crime in his Pasadena apartment. An "unknown violent episode" was given as the preliminary cause of death until specialists can examine the burned bodies more carefully.
The children's charred remains were found early Saturday in a wooded area in southeast Houston off of Allendale Road near Old Galveston Road after police said Randy Sylvester told them to search there.
Police said Sylvester sublet his apartment to friends, but still had access to it. According to prosecutors, on the day the children went missing, Sylvester told his tenants they needed to leave the apartment for a few hours.
"When the two people went back to the apartment, there was an odor of cleaning supplies and the windows were open," prosecutor Stephen St. Martin said.
Prosecutors said a witness saw Sylvester on Father's Day putting a blue suitcase into the trunk of his car.
The burned remains of Denim were later found in a blue suitcase. The remains of Randy Jr. were found inside a wooden chest that used to be in Sylvester's apartment, according to authorities.
Sylvester was on probation for drug charges when his children were killed. He is being held without bond. Prosecutors said they have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.
Straight to the scoring on this one.

Prison guard raped and killed
Florida
Inmate Charged With Slaying Of Tomoka Guard:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
That's just great. I'm sure the vocational training facility gave him the materials in order to make the makeshift knife. Isn't it a great society we live in where rapists get free job training?
One point for the murder, another for the rape, one more point for being a scumbag rapist to begin with, another point for the above mentioned job training, and one last point for the fact that you're still breathing. That's five.

Inmate Charged With Slaying Of Tomoka Guard:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- An inmate at the Tomoka Correctional Institution was quickly transferred to the Florida State Prison on Thursday after officials said he raped and killed a prison guard.
Authorities identified the inmate as Enoch Hall, 39, who was sentenced to life in prison for sexual battery with a weapon and kidnapping charges in 1993. He had been at the facility since 1994.
The officer, Donna Fitzgerald, 50, was a veteran guard, who had worked at Tomoka Correctional Institution for 15 years.
Hall hid in a welding shed adjacent to the Pride workshop area with a knife made out of a piece of sheet metal, police said. Pride is a vocational training facility located at the prison.
Officials at the prison said Fitzgerald entered the warehouse area around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday looking for Hall.
When she discovered him hiding, Fitzgerald confronted Hall and was stabbed multiple times, police said.

Czech Mother Accused of Skinning Caged Son, Feeding Him to Relatives:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
A mother is accused of partially skinning her caged son and feeding his flesh to relatives.
Kalra Mauerova, 31, of Brno in the Czech Republic, wept in court as she admitted torturing her son Ondrej, and his ten-year-old brother, Jakub, The Sun reported.
Mauerova, a member of the Grail Movement cult, caged Ondrej for months while relatives, also members of the cult, ate his raw flesh, a judge heard yesterday.
The court in Brno heard the family sexually abused the boys and made them cut themselves with knives.
The boys said they were kept in cages or handcuffed to tables and made to stand for days in their own urine.
The abuse was discovered when a man living nearby installed a TV monitor to keep watch on his newborn baby.
Instead of pictures of his newborn he was confronted by live images of Ondrej naked in the cellar, beaten and chained, The Sun reported.
Mauerova is understood to have installed the monitor so she could watch her victims suffering from her kitchen.
Police were called, and the boy and his brother, as well as what appeared to be a 13-year-old girl, were freed.
The teenage girl later turned out to be 34, and one of the torturers.
I don't even know where to begin on this one. It's too fucked up. I'm throwing down a seven.

CA. boy tortured by three

L.A. County supervisors demand report on child torture case:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
After doing these kinds of stories for 5 years you'd think I'd be numb to something like this but I'm not. I'm still amazed the lengths that people will go to bring a new life into this world only to commit such atrocities.
One point for each person involved with the abuse (3), one point for the cover up, one point for the parole board losing track of her, another point for the parole board painting an abuser in a positive light, and one last point for social services once again failing to do their job. That's seven.
L.A. County supervisors demand report on child torture case:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Los Angeles County supervisors on Tuesday demanded an immediate investigation into why a 5-year-old South Los Angeles boy suffered "unbearable" abuse for two years without detection by authorities or social service agencies.
And, on the same day, Los Angeles police announced the arrest of a third suspect in the case -- a 26-year-old babysitter who they say disfigured the boy's hands by burning them on a stove.
Police say that La Tanya Monikue Jones also conspired with the boy's mother, Starkeisha Brown, 24, and her live-in girlfriend, Krystal Denise Matthews, 21, to hide the abuse.
Nonetheless, Brown and Matthews shared their small South L.A. apartment with Brown's 5-year-old son. Over a two-year period, authorities said, the boy endured "unbearable psychological and physical abuse," including cigarette burns, near-starvation and beatings. The conditions went undetected by county officials until an anonymous caller alerted them earlier this month.
Brown appears to have regained custody of her son when she left prison in January 2007. But that March, a judge issued an arrest warrant for her in connection with parole violations. It is unclear why officials could not locate her.
Matthews also has a criminal history, including convictions for assault with a deadly weapon and forgery. In May, Matthews got into a fight with her younger brother, slashing him in the face with a box-cutter. She was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty.
Los Angeles police said the 5-year-old was hung by his hands and wrists from a doorjamb and beaten with some sort of leash or chain. He was routinely denied food and water, burned with cigarettes on his body and genitals, and left to sit in his own urine and feces.
After doing these kinds of stories for 5 years you'd think I'd be numb to something like this but I'm not. I'm still amazed the lengths that people will go to bring a new life into this world only to commit such atrocities.

Toddler stomped to death
California
Killer dad said he had to 'get the demons' out:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
I wasn't going to do this one until I found out more about the suspect's mental history. However I think I can draw enough conclusions to assign points at this point and you maybe surprised by some of them. If I had to venture a guess I'd say the guy went nuts after separating with his wife not that that excuses the atrocity that he committed.
Two points for the brutal way in which he killed more than likely his own son, one point for being a crazy SOB, another point for taking things out on your son when it's more than likely your fault why your life is collapsing around you, and one last point for all the witnesses who did nothing to physically stop him. I mean how many of you were there? You couldn't have gotten together to physically restrain the man? Kudos to the marksman officer. That's five.

Killer dad said he had to 'get the demons' out:
Reason to Blow Up the World...
Turlock, Stanislaus County -- A 27-year-old grocery store worker who police say punched and kicked his 2-year-old son to death on a country road calmly told motorists who stopped at the scene that he had to "get the demons" out of the boy, two witnesses said Monday.
Sergio Casian Aguiar of Turlock told people who urged him to stop late Saturday that the boy was "trash," the witnesses said. He asked for a knife at one point and, at another, said, "Look how they make toys now."
And when a Modesto police officer jumped off a helicopter and ordered Aguiar to stop at gunpoint, he raised his middle finger and continued his attack.
Officer Jerry Ramar, standing in a cow pasture behind an electric fence, shot Aguiar once in the forehead, the witnesses and police said. Aguiar died at the scene.
The reason a father with no criminal record would commit such a brutal killing was still a mystery on Monday. Authorities do not know whether Aguiar was drunk or on drugs, and toxicology reports on him and his son will not be available for three to four weeks, said sheriff's spokesman Deputy Royjindar Singh.
The boy was beaten so savagely that DNA tests will be needed to confirm his identity, Singh said. His name has not been released.
The crime shocked this agricultural community and stunned those who knew Aguiar and his wife, Frances, who had recently separated from her husband. She was in Southern California when her son was killed.
The roadway was still stained with blood Monday, and one neighbor had attached a teddy bear to a nearby stop sign.
Ramar jumped from the helicopter before it touched down, ran about 20 yards toward Aguiar and, while standing behind the pasture's fence, ordered him to stop beating the boy, Singh said.
McKain said Aguiar responded, "I'm not going to prison," and when he raised his middle finger, Ramar fired.
I wasn't going to do this one until I found out more about the suspect's mental history. However I think I can draw enough conclusions to assign points at this point and you maybe surprised by some of them.
