A Brooklyn teenager was charged Monday with pushing a friend onto subway tracks, where he was struck by a train and killed, police said.

Richie Molina, 19, was arrested Sunday in the death of Edison Guzman, 22, police said. Molina faces two counts of murder in the second degree, which is punishable by 25 years to life in prison.

The friends were arguing on an elevated platform of the 7 line in the Woodside section of Queens. Police said Molina punched and kicked Guzman, knocked him to the ground and rolled him onto the tracks at about 5 a.m. Sunday as the train approached.

A mother has been charged with trying to poison her adult daughter and her daughter's family after allegedly pouring bleach into their macaroni and cheese on Saturday night.

Nancy O'Donnell, 56, was charged with four counts each of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, police said.

O'Donnell's daughter, Victoria Lynn O'Donnell, 24, was preparing dinner around 6:30 p.m. for her live-in boyfriend, Jamal Scott, 30, and their 6-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. The four share a home with Nancy O'Donnell.

Victoria O'Donnell went upstairs while the food was cooking, and police said that when she came back downstairs, she could smell bleach in the food. She tried the macaroni and cheese and immediately spit it out after tasting the bleach, police said.

No one else tasted the food.

Victoria O'Donnell then confronted her mother about the allegedly tainted dinner. According to court records, Nancy O'Donnell said she wanted to sicken her daughter because "you don't deserve those children."

A 20-year-old man was arrested in the slayings of his parents, younger brother and elderly grandmother, whose bodies were found in their home Sunday, authorities said.

Richard Edgar Henderson Jr. was arrested Sunday evening and was being charged with four counts of murder, Manatee County sheriff's officials said. He was booked in jail with no bond.

The bodies of his parents Richard Henderson Sr., 48, and Jeaneane Henderson, 42, grandmother June Henderson, 82, and 11-year-old brother Jake Henderson were found Sunday about 12:30 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

Authorities said the four were beaten to death with a pipe in their house Thanksgiving evening. Sheriff Charlie Wells said Henderson recounted the slayings in an interview with detectives Sunday night.

A man shot and killed his 26-year-old son after the two got into an argument while preparing Thanksgiving dinner, police said.

Russell Huff II, 49, was charged with murder and was being held in Stark County Jail on Friday. Russell Huff III died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

"They were having a family disagreement and the father wanted the son to leave, and it escalated beyond that point and he shot him with a .22-caliber rifle," police Lt. Jerry Steiner said.

The two lived in the home together, and police had responded to past calls of domestic violence there, Capt. Doug Shackle said.

Betty Huff, the elder Huff's ex-wife, said she had been visiting the house with a friend and left shortly before the shooting.

"The argument was about me," she said. "My son got me to the point that I had to leave the house, and his dad didn't want me to leave."

The victim's girlfriend was still at the home and told investigators the argument initially involved Betty Huff, said Canton Police Lt. Tommy Thomas. After she left, the father told the son to leave, then got the rifle from a bedroom and fired warning shots, Thomas said.

Betty Huff told the Akron Beacon Journal she asked a friend to call the house to check in after she left.

"I got on the phone, and my son started yelling: 'Mom, you gotta come get me, dad's shooting at me,'" she said.

A homeless man in his 50s was fatally beaten Sunday night because he was panhandling, police said.

The man, who is described as a white male, was found beaten at 8:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of North St. Mary's Street, police said.

He suffered serious head injuries and was dead on arrival at Brooke Army Medical Center, police said. The victim is being listed as a John Doe at the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office until someone comes forward to report a man missing with the victim's description.

It appeared the victim was intoxicated and was asking for money when he was beaten, police said.

Investigators have very little information to go on.

A 25-year-old Boy Scout leader from Converse was being held in the Bexar County Jail on Tuesday in connection with sex crimes he allegedly committed against a 13-year-old member of his troop.

James Hiatt was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault with a minor. A magistrate set his bond at $100,000.

According to an arrest affidavit, Hiatt engaged the boy in numerous sex acts over a five-month period shortly after the boy joined the troop in June.

Hiatt, who is the leader of Boy Scout Troop 41, took nude photographs of the boy and showed him pornographic pictures and movies, the affidavit said.

The teen told law enforcement authorities that Hiatt was sexually involved with another 13-year-old boy from the troop, the affidavit said.

At least one other witness reported to investigators that she saw what appeared to be inappropriate conduct between Hiatt and the second 13-year-old boy, the affidavit said.

A man accused of killing his estranged wife with a nail gun last month was arrested after spending five weeks in a hospital for nail gun wounds to his own chest and abdomen.

Nevada County Sheriff's deputies were waiting to arrest Richard Williams, 51, a landscaper from Grass Valley, when he was released Friday.

Williams had been hospitalized since Oct. 22, when authorities found him injured and his wife, teacher Hetty Williams, 48, dead from two nail-gun wounds to her head.

At the time, Nevada County Sheriff's Lt. Ron Smith said authorities found a suicide note in the home indicating Williams' estranged wife was seeing someone else. The note said the author, believed to be Richard Williams, wanted their bodies cremated and the ashes spread together, Smith said.

Law enforcement had been stationed outside Williams' hospital room 24 hours a day since his admittance, waiting for him to recover.

If he had been arrested immediately after the Oct. 22 incident, the county would have been at least partly responsible for costs associated with his health care, officials said.

An 18-year-old Chicago man was arrested after allegedly kidnapping two young children to perform a demonic ritual intended to get back his former girlfriend, authorities said.

David Rodriguez was being held on $500,000 bond. Prosecutors said he and a 15-year-old companion snatched the children Friday outside a South Side library and planned to carve a pentagram in the girl's chest.

Rodriguez apparently needed only the girl, so he released her 8-year-old brother, who told people on the street about the kidnapping, Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Tracy Senica said.

Police found the girl unharmed at Rodriguez's home, and they arrested Rodriguez when he returned with candles and incense.

Rodriguez was charged with two counts of aggravated kidnapping, police spokesman John Mirabelli said.

His grandfather, Julian Rodriguez, called the accusations "ridiculous." He said his grandson was a "good kid."

A pack of six dogs mauled a 76-year-old woman to death as she worked in her yard, authorities said.

Lillian Loraine Stiles was riding on a lawn mower in her front yard Saturday when she was confronted by the dogs, described as pit bull-rottweiler mixed breeds, said Milam County Sheriff Charlie West.

The dogs were found at the home of Stiles' neighbor, Jose Hernandez.

The sheriff's department will send the findings of its investigation to the Milam County District Attorney's Office, which will decide if any criminal charges will be filed against Hernandez.

A 12-year-old Tucson boy faces an attempted- murder charge after repeatedly stabbing his pregnant sister, authorities say.

The boy has been in the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center since Nov. 14, when detectives say he stabbed his 17-year-old sister five times in the neck, head and hand. Despite the bloody scene at the family's Foothills apartment, the girl's wounds were not considered life-threatening.
The boy has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, domestic violence aggravated assault causing serious physical injuries, and domestic violence aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The Star is not identifying the boy or his family because he has been charged as a juvenile in a domestic-violence case.

The boy spent the night before the stabbing at a friend's house. That friend, 13, also is his sister's boyfriend and the father of the baby she is carrying, according to reports.
The suspect's mother had told him not to tell anyone of his sister's pregnancy or who the father is. That secret, on top of other family arguments, was bottled up, the boy told a detective, and he was planning to kill himself to make all the problems go away. He told a detective that his family wouldn't fight if they were mourning.

Detectives also are investigating previous threats the boy may have made against his sister. Friends told deputies he'd said he wanted to be a famous gangster, bank robber and serial killer. He said he wanted his sister to be his first victim. Another goal was to be on a "most wanted" list, reports show.

Friends told deputies they hadn't taken the boy's comments seriously because they thought he was joking.

cop who once headed a domestic violence unit held an ax to his wife's head and twice threatened to shoot her - all because he didn't like the birthday cake she bought him, sources said yesterday."He was not a satisfied customer," a law enforcement source said. "He wanted ice cream cake."

Lt. William Doyle was released yesterday on $1,000 bond after being charged in the alleged five-hour barrage of threats at his 47th birthday party in the couple's Staten Island home Monday.

"I could kill you right now and open up your head," Doyle, the former head of the domestic violence unit in the 120th Precinct, allegedly warned his wife, sources said.

The sources said Doyle began the threats when his wife, Jean, 50, got to the house late for the party, around 4:30 p.m.

At some point, Doyle expressed his childlike discontent by pouring wine over the cake, sources said. It wasn't clear what kind of cake she bought.

He allegedly threatened her with a pickax. The 14-year veteran also is accused of holding his department-issued 9-mm. handgun to the back of his wife's head at their Princewood Ave. home in Prince's Bay.

"I will kill you!" he screamed at her, according to court documents. "I will kill you!"

Before leaving about 9:40 p.m. for his midnight to 8 a.m. work shift, he grabbed his gun and threatened her again, a police report shows.

"Don't f--- with me," he allegedly said, pointing the weapon at her ribs. "I'll end this now."

His 13-year-old daughter, Jenna, was at the party and witnessed the alleged threats, a police report shows. The couple also have a 24-year-old daughter, who declined comment late yesterday, and two sons.

A man and woman who dated as teenagers have pleaded guilty in the death of their newborn son who was stabbed, beaten and stuffed into a duffel bag full of rocks before being thrown in a flooded quarry six years ago.

Jessica Coleman, 22, wept in court as she pleaded guilty Monday to involuntary manslaughter and six other charges. Thomas Truelson Jr., 25, entered guilty pleas to three charges, including abuse of a corpse.

Coleman faces a sentence ranging from five years' probation to 24 years in prison. Truelson faces from five years' probation to 11 years in prison.

Coleman was a 15-year-old high school sophomore and had concealed the pregnancy from family and friends before the baby was born in February 1999, police said. She beat and stabbed the child after it was born and Truelson, her boyfriend who was in college at the time, helped her get rid of the body, authorities said.

A 7-year-old girl found Tuesday inside a closed cardboard box in an empty lot in Hiroshima was pronounced dead at a hospital, and police are investigating the case as a murder, according to a news report.

Airi Kinoshita was reported missing after school, prompting a search by her family, the Kyodo News agency said. Police refused to confirm the report.

The abandoned box was closed when a resident found it and called police, Kyodo said.

The girl was dressed and had no visible external wounds. Her school bag was missing.

Police believe she was killed on her way home from school, Kyodo said. There have been no arrests.

A Queens man who assaulted his first two wives was sentenced to 11 years in prison yesterday for tying his third wife to a chair and setting her on fire.

Ali Agina, 43, of Far Rockaway went on a jealous rage during March of last year, accusing his third wife of seeing someone else.

He forced her to remove her clothes, tied her to a chair and wrapped a bag around her head, court papers said. He then kicked her, cut her and put oil over her chest before setting her on fire, according to a criminal complaint.

The unemployed construction worker had gotten six months in jail for sexually assaulting and hitting his second wife in December 2002, but was resentenced to seven years after violating probation with the latest charge.

The repeat offender was also arrested in 1990 for attempting to kill his first wife in Hudson County, N.J. He pleaded guilty to felony arson and was sentenced to a year in jail, sources said.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with the juvenile equivalent of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man at a sidewalk dice game.

Witnesses told police the boy had been watching a teenage cousin shooting dice with several other players on the city's far South Side on Nov. 13. They said Deon McGary, 26, of suburban Hazel Crest, was also watching the game and traded insults with the boy's cousin.

Witnesses said that when the quarrel turned physical, the boy pulled out a handgun and shot McGary four times, police said.

A pregnant woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend because he tried to keep her from eating a candy bar has been ordered to stand trial on attempted murder and assault charges.

Maria Islas, 27, has pleaded not guilty. She is due back in court Dec. 6.

Authorities said during a preliminary hearing last week that Islas and her 18-year-old boyfriend were arguing about Islas' diet on Sept. 8 when she attacked him. The victim suffered a punctured lung and lacerated liver.

"She wanted to eat a candy bar, and he didn't think it had any nutritional value," Detective Eric Tippis testified.

A man stabbed and strangled his wife, then started a fire that killed the couple's 2-year-old son and himself, police said.
The death of the husband, Jocelyn Germain, 44, was ruled a suicide, a Delray Beach police spokesman said Friday.

The body of his 36-year-old wife, Madeline Beaufrere, was found in the couple's master bedroom, where the fire started, police said.

Their son Jimmy Germain died of smoke inhalation, police spokesman Jeff Messer said. The couple's two other children, ages 10 and 12, were at school when the fire began.

In July, police received a 911 call from Beaufrere, who said Germain had threatened to kill her if she went to their home to get clothing for their three children, Messer said. An officer went to the house so she could pick up the clothes, but Beaufrere never showed up and Germain was gone before the officer arrived, Messer said.

Germain hadn't been living at the house for the past few weeks because the couple had been arguing, neighbors said.
